What a day! The sky has cleared and it's beautiful out there. We had oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, and watched the paddle border. He's getting better! The sky is so clear we can see the windmills on the mountains.

Off to Maui Ocean Center again. They have a lovely tidepool just inside the entrance.

This butterfly fish followed Jerry around, and wouldn't take no for an answer. Pick me! Pick me!

A leaf fish and a wrasse that needs a plastic surgeon:

A very friendy puffer fish and an eel:

Another eel and a peacock grouper:

We found a bee the size of a golf ball:

I enjoyed the touch pool, and I even got to feed the dolphins:

More turtles - I LOVE this place!

A sting ray and an eagle ray:

Eagle ray close up - a face only a mother could love:

We returned to the condo for lunch. It felt warm, so we cranked up the air conditioning. Hmmm. Still pretty warm. At 4:00 or so, we realized the condo was getting warmer, not cooler, so we called the front desk. They sent somebody up to look at it, and he told us 78 degrees was the normal temperature. I think NOT! He agreed to send someone else up.
The second repairman agreed that the brand new A/C was not working, and it was so new (we're the first people to stay here since the remodel) he didn't know how to fix it. He said he'd tell the office it was toast and we'd need to be moved.
We called the office, and eventually a lady came buy with keys to two units for us to pick from. She said she had been told we were "a nice elderly couple".
So by now I'm in a mood. We missed our afternoon walk on the beach, we've missed the news, I haven't started dinner, and now it's 6:30 and we have to pack up all of our stuff and move? And we're elderly, to boot? Indeed!
It took us several trips: Load up the luggage, drag it to the new place, dump it out, back to the old place, fill up the luggage, drag it to the new place...wasn't it clever of us to stock up on bottled water, coke, beer, etc? Man, that stuff is heavy. We called it quits about 8:00, we'll finish tomorrow. (We elderly folks don't seem to have much stamina.)
Dinner was late. I made spaghetti but we didn't have the energy to eat much of it.
Today's book count: Finished Double Cross.
